Allegations Surface Against Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle

1 hour ago 0

Businessman Eric Deters has accused Kimberly Guilfoyle, the current U.S. ambassador to Greece and former fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., of unethical behavior. According to Deters, Guilfoyle requested a $100,000 payment to cover her American Express bill. She allegedly promised to assist with his issues involving the Trump administration in return for the payment. This information was revealed ahead of her Senate confirmation hearing.

In an interview with CBS News, Deters emphasized that Guilfoyle should face disciplinary action over the allegations. He explained that text messages between them were published in the Wall Street Journal, showing a request for money shortly before her congressional hearing. “It was quid pro quo,” Deters stated.

Deters said he did not provide the money, citing a lack of funds at the time. He mentioned he had made an excuse involving his wife to avoid fulfilling Guilfoyle’s request. According to sources familiar with the issue, the White House was informed about the authenticity of the text messages. Some aides within the Trump circle expressed concern over Guilfoyle’s actions.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Guilfoyle reached out to Deters just days before her hearing, requesting money to settle her credit debt discreetly. “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” was one of the texts allegedly sent by Guilfoyle, which included details for payment instructions in a document shared by Deters.

Eric Deters, a businessman and former lawyer, has been sanctioned in the past for an unauthorized law practice. Previously, he ran unsuccessfully for governor of Kentucky and another political position. Deters has also been advocating for the extradition of Dr. Abubakar Durrani, an orthopedic spine surgeon accused of healthcare fraud.

Deters claims he never received support from Trump-affiliated individuals for his cause related to Durrani. Despite reaching out to Trump Jr. and others, including Guilfoyle, he faced continuous unresponsiveness, prompting him to seek media help instead. Deters represents numerous former patients of Durrani and believes he might have benefited financially if Durrani was extradited.

Deters alleged that Guilfoyle was initially willing to assist him but lost influence after her relationship with Trump Jr. ended. He shared messages where Guilfoyle expressed irritation at Deters for documenting their exchanges and insisted on using more private methods like Signal for communication.

In a memo to Guilfoyle, Deters expressed dissatisfaction over unmet promises, such as arranging his appearances on significant platforms like Tucker Carlson’s podcast. He had offered monetary incentives to secure such engagements.

In response to the controversies, Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed immediate comments on the issue, urging reporters to confirm stories before accepting them as fact. When Vice President JD Vance was asked about the appropriateness of such behavior by a government official, he expressed discomfort with the scenario but lacked details about the specific case.

Eric Deters remains determined to expose the activities related to Dr. Durrani and seeks to bring attention to Guilfoyle’s alleged misconduct. He intends to pursue legal steps in this matter.
