Filming Challenges in Texas: Insights from Cole Hauser and Michelle Pfeiffer

1 month ago 0

Cole Hauser, known for his role in ‘Dutton Ranch,’ recently addressed filming challenges in Texas during a discussion on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’ Joined by co-star Kelly Reilly, Hauser highlighted a significant safety concern that impacted production. Over an eight-month period, the cast and crew encountered 3,400 rattlesnakes in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kelly Clarkson remarked on the startling rattlesnake population. Hauser responded by sharing their experiences at a particular filming location. He mentioned a discovery by Christina, their director and cinematographer, who identified 40-50 rattlesnakes in the area. Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton alongside Hauser’s Rip Wheeler, confirmed the difficulties faced in episode 8 of season 1.

Michelle Pfeiffer also spoke on similar issues in Taylor Sheridan’s productions, particularly on the podcast ‘In Conversation: The Madison.’ Pfeiffer, portraying Stacy Clyburn in ‘The Madison’ series by Paramount+, discussed harsh conditions faced during filming in Montana and Texas. With limited amenities and extreme climates, Pfeiffer noted the absence of basic facilities such as bathrooms and AC.

She shared insights into the challenges posed by the open terrain filming. The cabin was built hastily, and the cast lacked trailers due to uninterrupted 360-degree shooting. Pfeiffer described difficulties in both summer and winter, including the need for basic comforts like heaters and umbrellas.
