On May 20, following the divorce filing, Bunnie Xo shared her thoughts via TikTok. Her posts in the weeks leading up to the announcement contained cryptic messages. “Women’s intuition when that s— don’t add up” she captioned one video.

Comments from fans noted the hints Bunnie had been dropping, acknowledging they missed the signs. Jelly Roll performed at CMA Fest in Nashville on June 4 without wearing his wedding ring. Following this, Bunnie shared a video riding a horse, accompanied by Aerosmith’s “What It Takes” lyrics, and a caption reading “Wild hearts can’t be broken.” Additional cryptic messages followed, including lyrics from Goo Goo Dolls’ “Name.”

Before the news was public, Bunnie shared a video lip-syncing Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.” Her wedding ring was not visible, and she later posted a picture on Instagram writing, “She’s getting her sparkle back.” On the same day, movers were spotted outside their Tennessee home indicating further developments.

The couple married in August 2016 in Las Vegas after meeting the year prior. Bunnie’s memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” shared her chaotic upbringing and emotional challenges early in their relationship. In February, Bunnie mentioned feeling devastated when she learned Jelly Roll had an ex-fling waiting nearby.

Bunnie disclosed the non-traditional nature of their marriage, explaining their pasts shaped their relationship rules differently than conventional marriages. Despite challenges, cheating remained unacceptable.

Intense therapy helped them improve communication. Bunnie expressed the desire to grow and meet each other’s needs, striving to be better partners and parents. Her reflections emphasized that marriage isn’t one-size-fits-all; choosing to work through difficult times together was essential.
