A significant discovery unfolded when the new owner of a foreclosed property in Burlington, Connecticut entered the residence and found skeletal remains. This unsettling event was confirmed by authorities as no inspections were conducted prior to the house’s auction.
The Connecticut State Police revealed in a statement that the homeowner reported finding suspicious remains on June 14. However, there is no evidence of criminal activity involved, and the deaths seem to be isolated incidents.
The house, built in 2002 in the Cape Cod style, was auctioned and purchased by Edward Marchion on June 6 for $525,000. Despite attempts to reach him for comments, he remains unavailable.
Court records disclose that the property was previously owned by Paul and Sally Anne Cash, who had initially borrowed approximately $400,000 from Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. Mr. Marchion placed a substantial deposit of $82,000 on a property that has a fair market value of $820,000.
The identities and the causes of death of the remains found are still under investigation. Authorities continue their efforts to determine these details, ensuring thorough examination.
