Tragic Incident in Frankfort: Child’s Death Investigated as Domestic-Related Homicide

Authorities in Frankfort are investigating the tragic death of a 2-year-old child, found unresponsive in a home on Tuesday, and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The incident is being treated as an apparent domestic-related homicide.

Officers reported encountering the child’s mother, who was attempting self-harm, in the residence located on the 22700 block of Brook Stone Court. She was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene at 4:04 p.m. and performed CPR on the child. Despite efforts to save the child’s life, the young victim later died at the hospital.

Frankfort police have expressed their condolences in a news release, stating, “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. We encourage our community to support one another with compassion, understanding, and strength as we navigate this difficult time together.”
