WWE’s Strategic Partnership with Bleacher Report

WWE announced a strategic content partnership with Bleacher Report, granting the latter global rights to highlights from WWE’s programming. This includes popular shows such as Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, NXT, and premium live events. Bleacher Report will also be present at select WWE events.

Our partnership with B/R reinforces WWE’s commitment to reaching a global audience. Bennett Spector, the general manager of Bleacher Report, added, WWE fans don’t just watch. They engage, analyze every detail, and debate the sport all week long. This partnership allows us to bring fans closer to the biggest moments while tapping into WWE’s rich history and personalities.

The collaboration aims to enhance WWE’s global reach through social media platforms. WWE’s online following includes 102 million on Facebook, 40.1 million on TikTok, 35 million on Instagram, and 13 million on X. The timing is noteworthy as it follows Paramount’s settlement regarding Warner Bros. Discovery’s takeover.

Bleacher Report is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery, under TNT Sports. Within the competitive landscape, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), owned by Tony Khan, broadcasts on TNT, TBS, and HBO Max. Interest in pro wrestling remains high, boosting the significance of the WWE-Bleacher Report partnership.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to maintain TNT Sports and Bleacher Report under Global Networks, separate from TV and film activities. Bleacher Report previously hosted AEW pay-per-views until discontinuing this in 2024.

Tony Khan, AEW’s owner, expressed optimism about the merger and the growth of AEW despite changes in corporate leadership since Discovery’s takeover in 2022. Khan emphasized AEW’s adaptability within corporate structures and its importance within Warner Bros.’ portfolio.
