Limited-Edition Social Security Cards for America’s 250th Birthday

2 hours ago 0

To honor the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Social Security Administration plans to issue special Social Security cards. These cards will be given to babies born between July 2 and December 31 this year.

The design of the special cards closely resembles the standard blue wallet-sized Social Security cards, which have been in use for decades. However, the distinct feature of these limited-edition cards is the ‘Freedom 250’ logo imprinted on them.

‘Freedom 250’ is a public-private initiative started by the Trump administration last year. It aims to organize events that often align with the administration’s objectives for the national semiquincentennial celebrations.

This initiative is distinct from ‘America250’, a nonprofit organization established by Congress in 2016. ‘America250’ is responsible for organizing similar national celebrations.
