Comedian Laura Clery’s Near-Death Experience
Laura Clery faced a harrowing experience that she described as the “most terrifying night” of her life. The comedian shared details of the incident on Instagram, recounting how she was severely injured and trapped at home, alone with her two young children. A 600-pound refrigerator had fallen, pinning her against the kitchen counter.
Gratitude for First Responders
Clery, 39, expressed immense gratitude towards God and the first responders who reached her in time. She noted, “Thank God my phone was in my pocket and I was able to call 911. Thank God it didn’t fall on my kids.” The situation took a turn for safety as three firefighters managed to lift the appliance off her.
Rescue Efforts Captured
Clery shared footage showing firefighters carrying her to an ambulance. While wearing a neck brace, she praised the first responders, saying, “This was right after the fentanyl hit and all of my pain [went] away (instantly).” She extended her thanks to the responders who acted swiftly, breaking through her garage to save her.
Reflecting on the Incident
Reflecting on the experience, Clery remarked on how fortunate she was to avoid serious injury. “No broken bones, my kids are okay and safe, I can walk… I’m so lucky!” she stated, emphasizing her gratitude for the bravery and efficiency of the rescuers.
