The owner of a well-known pro-America and Trump-themed home in southern California has passed away following a brutal attack. The incident involved a stranger last week. Police confirmed on Sunday that Kerry Sheron, aged 69, succumbed to his injuries after remaining in critical condition in the hospital for several days.

Sheron, a U.S. Army veteran, resided in Escondido, California. His home was decorated with American flags and memorabilia supporting Trump. The attack happened outside this property, which had long been the subject of complaints and vandalism.

Kerry Sheron, a U.S. Army Veteran known for owning the distinctive ‘Trump House’ in southern California, is shown wearing a jacket with military branch patches. The date of this photo is not specified.

Deputy District Attorney Ross Garcia outlined the alleged assault, claiming that 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler initiated the attack. According to NBC 7, Sheron was first punched in the jaw and then further assaulted on the head as he lay on the ground.

Butler was subsequently arrested without resistance and charged with attempted murder. Police indicated that the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office is evaluating the case to ascertain if the charges should change.

A friend of Butler’s described him as a Navy veteran suffering from PTSD. They reported to The California Post that Butler often isolated himself, believing others were out to harm him. Despite medication, his mental health was reportedly worsening.

This is the guy engaged with Legos and Star Wars memorabilia, a friend remarked about Butler.

The attack took place around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Escondido police responded to an assault report near East Mission Avenue and Buchanan Street, close to the ‘Trump House.’ Sheron was found with severe injuries, and a bystander who tried to help was also hurt.

Maria Garcia, Sheron’s wife, shared her concerns with The Post last week, expressing doubts about her husband’s chances of survival. Garcia speculated that the assault could be politically driven.

He tried to kill my husband, Garcia explained to CBS 8. It’s terrible. I don’t understand such hatred… such a black heart.

Garcia highlighted the hostility towards the flags, affirming her support for America and her husband’s veteran status.
