Chick-fil-A Introduces New Spicy Sauce

4 hours ago 0

Chick-fil-A is launching a new addition to its sauce lineup, introducing the Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce, its first new permanent sauce in a decade. This new sauce will become available in restaurants across the country starting November 16. Customers can find it in standard dipping cups as well as 8-ounce bottles.

According to Chick-fil-A, the new sauce combines the classic mustard notes and smoky tang of their original sauce with spicy peppers and a hint of sweetness. The team behind the menu aimed to preserve the beloved original flavor while offering a fresh and distinct experience.

Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, stated, “We know our guests love bold, spicy flavors, and in our year of newstalgia, we’re turning up the heat on a classic.” She emphasized the sauce’s ability to provide “an exciting kick to the signature flavor our guests know and love.”

Even before its official announcement, there was buzz on social media platforms like Reddit, with users speculating about a potential spicy version. Some welcomed the concept, while others expressed skepticism regarding its heat level.

One Reddit user mentioned being wary of “so many food items that say ‘spicy’ but aren’t,” while another joked about no longer needing to mix sauces to create a spicier option. Concerns were raised about whether the new sauce would be truly spicy, reflecting a common sentiment about fast-food chains’ spicy offerings.

Chick-fil-A noted that their research over the past year indicated a high demand for a spicy variant of their signature sauce. Earlier this year, the chain tested spicy chicken strips at two locations in Georgia, gauging customer interest and feedback.

The Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce is the first new addition since the Sweet & Spicy Sriracha was introduced in 2016. The original Chick-fil-A Sauce made its nationwide debut in 2006, following the introduction of flavors like Honey Mustard, Barbeque, and Polynesian back in 1984.
