The White House has disclosed the details of President Donald Trump’s annual physical examination, conducted earlier this week at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The exam incorporated evaluations from 22 specialty providers representing various academic institutions.
A memo from the President’s physician, Captain Sean P. Barbabella, shared the key findings. President Trump’s vitals were recorded at 238 pounds, with a blood pressure reading of 105/71 mmHg and a body temperature of 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit. His eye and ear, nose, and throat exams were normal, aside from right ear scarring attributed to a past gunshot injury.
The report highlighted an AI-enhanced ECG analysis indicating that President Trump’s estimated cardiac age is approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. The President, who will turn 80 on June 14, was reported to have normal cardiac function and satisfactory circulation to his extremities.
Overall, cardiac function is normal, and circulation to the extremities remains intact.
Recent attention has focused on the President’s health, particularly regarding his hands. However, both Trump and his medical team refute any serious underlying conditions. In a previous April 2025 physical, Dr. Barbabella noted the President maintained strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical functions.
The White House has explained the discoloration and bruising on Trump’s hands result from frequent handshaking, aspirin usage, and minor soft-tissue irritation. The recent memo reiterated these aspects as common and benign effects of aspirin used for cardiovascular prevention.
The exam also noted slight lower leg swelling, which has improved since the previous year. Barbabella’s summary emphasized the President’s good health, affirming his capability to fulfill all responsibilities as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.
